PRE-MADE, EMPTY, PAPER TEA BAG FILTERS

Made in USA, these empty, heat sealable tea bag filters are sized 2.5" x 2.75" and 4" x 5". The tea bags are chemical-free and made with oxygen bleached paper. You can place 1 or 2 teaspoons of fill inside the small sized tea bags. The large bag holds about 1/2 cup of fill usually enough for a pitcher full of tea. If filling with herbs, you would need approximately 220 empty tea bag filters for one pound of loose tea or herbals such as chamomile, spearmint, eucalyptus, calendula, mullein, varius blends, etc.

Empty tea bags are sold perforated side by side and easily tear apart. The tea bags are cut apart into sets every 50 tea bags for easy use. Empty tea bag filters are sealed on three sides and open on one side to place fill, heat, and seal.

These empty tea bag filters can be used for many different purposes, but mainly to bag your own loose tea or herbs. Small tea bags would be used for a cup size beverage. The larger tea bags would be used for a pitcher full of beverage or other purposes. You can also create a compost tea, bath tea, lavender sachets, you could even place unused jewelry for safe-keeping, use as a filter, and more.

Instructions:

  1. Tear tea bags apart at the perforation, being careful to tear gently. Tear as many as you'll need.
  2. Simply open up one side of the tea bag that appears unsealed (3 sides are sealed). One easy method is to hold both sides with both hands and lightly push in until you see bag open.
  3. Take the loose tea or other desired fill with a teaspoon or scoop
  4. Insert fill into the bag making sure to leave the 1/2" top portion empty
  5. Using an iron, turn on heat to dry, cotton setting (curling iron can also be used)
  6. On an ironing board, place a clean cloth and place tea bags on the cloth
  7. One by one, place filled tea bag down and press iron down with slight pressure on the open edge for approximately 4 - 5 seconds
  8. Set aside and allow to cool down for 15 seconds or so while you iron seal the next bag.
  9. Take sealed tea bags and place in air-tight container for later use.
